Commercial Lighting Control

The light in a room shapes how it’s used. We design lighting-control systems that pull more out of the fixtures you already paid for — and a lot more out of the ones you haven’t.

Lutron Athena & RA3

Our most-installed platform. Wired or wireless, scales from a small suite to a 200,000 sq ft headquarters.

Crestron Horizon

When the project already runs Crestron AV or shading, we keep everything on one network.

DALI-2 / DMX

For tunable-white, color-mixing and architectural color-changing fixtures.

Occupancy & vacancy sensing

Auto-on, auto-off, hold-on. We tune timeouts to how each space actually gets used.

Daylight harvesting

Closed-loop sensors that dim ambient fixtures as natural light fills the room.

Astronomical scheduling

Scenes that follow sunrise/sunset for restaurants, hotels and lobbies.

What our scope usually covers

A typical commercial lighting-control project from us includes a fixture audit, a control-system design (panels, keypads, sensors, low-voltage runs), a programming spec, the install itself, on-site commissioning with the end users, training, and a year-one tune-up at no charge.

We coordinate with your electrician, your architect’s lighting designer, and the GC. We can act as the low-voltage subcontractor on a larger project, or we can be your single source on a smaller one.

What it usually costs

For a 4,000–6,000 sq ft office in Monroe County, expect roughly $18k–$32k for a Lutron Athena system covering ambient, task and accent lighting with daylight sensors, occupancy sensing, and 8–12 keypads. Tunable white adds 25–40%. Larger or more architectural projects scale from there.

We give fixed-price proposals. The number you sign for is the number you pay, unless you change scope.

Why Lutron, mostly

It’s the platform we’ve installed the most, the platform with the deepest local sales and service rep coverage in Western New York, and the platform whose firmware we trust five years out. That said, we are not married to it — we will quote Crestron, Vantage or DALI-only systems when it’s the right call.

Most projects start with a free, no-pressure site walk in Rochester or anywhere in the surrounding nine counties. Bring a floor plan if you have one — we’ll bring coffee and ideas.
