About
A small commercial integrator that’s been here a while.
PCH Commercial Automation is owned and run by Robert Benvenuti out of a 4,200 sq ft shop on Delaware Avenue in Rochester. Eleven people. Eleven years. One service area.

From the founder
A letter from Robert.
I started PCH in late 2014 out of my garage in Henrietta. I had been a licensed electrician for fifteen years — three of them running the low-voltage division of a residential builder — and I kept getting asked the same question by commercial property managers: “why is no one in Rochester doing this stuff for offices?”
It turned out there was a real reason. Commercial automation work is fussy. The schedules are tight, the trade coordination is brutal, and the equipment is expensive to stock. But the clients I was talking to were patient and clear about what they wanted, so I took a chance.
Eleven years later we are eleven people. We have done work in 340 buildings across nine counties. We still answer our own phone. I still walk every project before we quote it. And I still write the punch list myself before we hand the building back.
If you are reading this because you are thinking about hiring us — thank you. Send me an email at host@pchthomeautomation.com or call the office at +1 (585) 678-6642. I will pick up if I am not on a job site.

Our values
How we like to work.
Quote what you can build.
We give fixed-price proposals on all but the most exploratory work. If we run into something we missed, we eat it. If you change scope, we tell you in writing what it costs before we proceed.
Label everything.
Every cable, every breaker, every keypad, every credential. The next vendor who walks into your IDF closet should be able to do their job without calling us.
Earn the second project.
Most of our revenue is repeat work or referrals. We treat every job like the client is going to call us five years from now — because most of them do.
Be honest about what we’re not good at.
We are not the right vendor for stadium AV, fiber-to-the-home builds, or 911 dispatch centers. When we’re wrong for the job we’ll tell you and recommend someone who is right.

The team
A small bench, deep across the disciplines.
Two designers, six field technicians (three NICET-certified), one full-time programmer, one project coordinator, plus Robert. Everyone in the field carries an OSHA-30 card. Two of our techs are former Lutron factory employees.
Ready to talk?
Tell us about your building. We’ll come walk it with you.
Most projects start with a free, no-pressure site walk in Rochester or anywhere in the surrounding nine counties. Bring a floor plan if you have one — we’ll bring coffee and ideas.
